Of Snails and Leprechauns

They have known each other since they were three. She lived down the street and they met at the playground one day. They chased each other down the slide for a good hour and the rest is history. Little man is a quirky soul, and not too many kids get him like she does. These two go together like peanut butter and jelly. She recently moved across town, so unfortunately they only get to see each other once every few months. When they get together it's like no time has passed.

Today was one of those days, and from the moment she got in the car, they didn't miss a beat. Topics ranged from "How much could a leprechaun lift?" to "Who would win in a race, a tortoise or a snail?" I think the final result was the snail, because they can go "like five miles an hour." Giggles, snorts, squeals, space traveling...I just sat back and watched all day with admiration and smiled often to myself.

There's nothing like a good friend. Add an ice cream outing followed by a sunset over the water and what else do you need?

"We'll be friends forever, won't we Pooh?" asked Piglet. "Even longer," Pooh answered.
